Having a pouch or two around your waist when walking around in the woods might just be beneficial to your gear setup…

Of course it all depends on how you are set up and where your pouches are located, whether you’re backpacking or what it is you’re doing.  Maybe you’re just out for a day forage to harvest some wild mushrooms, or maybe your you’re on a day hike and decided not to take a backpack, just a belt kit to get you through the day with some other gear connected to it, such as your water bottle, a saw and a knife, etc…

It all depends on what you’re doing as to where a belt pouch could fit in…
